Italian rebar producers are still trying to prevent any further price decrease in their domestic market by offering their products at €510/mt ($581/mt) ex-works. However, they have concluded very few sales at this price. According to market sources, transaction prices are mostly between €490/mt ($559/mt) and €500/mt ($581/mt) ex-works, i.e., the same price levels as last week. Demand is weak in the domestic market due to seasonal factors and bad weather.
