Italian rebar producers are still finding it difficult to conclude deals with Algerian customers since local demand in Algeria has slowed down sharply over the past three weeks.

Italian rebar producers' deals to Algeria were closed at €460/mt ($511/mt) FOB  at the beginning of May, while their export offers now stand at €410-430/mt ($455-477/mt) FOB though still failing to attract the interest of buyers. The demand situation is not expected to improve, also because of Ramadan.
