SteelOrbis has been informed that today, July 18, an Iskenderun-based Turkish mill issued its official mesh grade wire rod price at TRY 16,000/mt ($593/mt), ex-works, excluding VAT, amid sluggish demand and currency fluctuations. The mill has issued its rebar price at TRY 18,500/mt ($572/mt) ex-works today. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 26.96 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate. The producer's wire rod and rebar prices have risen by TRY 300/mt and TRY 200/mt, while falling by $7 and $6/mt on US dollar basis, respectively, compared to Wednesday, July 12.
