In the Albanian domestic market, merchant bar prices have shown increases as compared to last week. In this market the sales prices of local traders for imported 140 mm and below sized merchant bars were last week standing around the level of €390/mt ($522/mt) ex-warehouse, excluding VAT, and on actual weight basis; this week, however, the prices in question have increased to around the levels of €420-425/mt ($563-569/mt). The increases seen in import offers may be indicated as the reason behind this price rise. Meanwhile, it is heard that the merchant bar offers given from Greece to Albania have risen to the level of €385/mt FOB.
