SteelOrbis has learned that import wire rod offering prices for the US from Turkish mills have remained stable over the past week, with most offers still ranging from approximately $1,340 /mt to $1,350 /mt CFR FO in US Gulf ports.
Offering prices from Chinese mills have also remained stable since last week, with Chinese rod offers for the US ranging from approximately $1,240 /mt to $1,250 /mt CFR FO US Gulf ports. There is a $15 /mt extra for 5.5 mm, and availability of different grades and sizes is still very limited. However, purchases are not taking place at this price level yet.
