Demand in the Turkish domestic wire rod market has remained at medium levels during the past week. Following deals concluded on Friday, April 22, import scrap and billet prices have increased further in Turkey. As a result of the higher production costs caused by these rises in import scrap and billet quotations, Turkish steel producers have once again raised their domestic wire rod prices, hiking them by $15-45/mt week on week.
