Turkish suppliers are increasing their longs export prices due to the positive sentiment in the import scrap segment. Sources report that inquiries have been received from the regular export markets such as the US and Israel, though no details of any deals are available at the time of publication.

Currently, ex-Turkey rebar prices are available at $640-650/mt FOB for August shipment, versus $630-650/mt earlier this week. A few mills have stopped quoting any rebar export prices for now. A small tonnage of rebar was traded to Europe at $640/mt FOB this week, SteelOrbis has heard.

In the Turkish domestic market, most mills are mainly offering rebar at $650-655/mt ex-works, while around 30,000 mt of rebar was traded in the Izmir region at $630/mt ex-works earlier today and a small tonnage of rebar has also been traded at around $650/mt ex-warehouse in the Iskenderun region.

In the wire rod export segment, a few mills are offering wire rod at $650-700/mt FOB for September shipment, rising by $10/mt on the lower end as the week ends.
