SteelOrbis has been informed that ex-Italy medium carbon wire rod (C45) offers to Turkey stand in the price range of €540-545/mt ($767-774/mt) FOB, while offers for similar material from Germany to Turkey are at €600-605/mt ($852-859/mt) CFR, both on actual weight basis and for shipments in August.
Following wire rod price hikes in the Turkish domestic market, buyers in Turkey have started to conduct negotiations with European suppliers regarding wire rod imports.
