The price level for rebar in the local Egyptian market is at around $720/mt ex-works, excluding taxes.

Prices in the local Egyptian rebar market are rising rapidly. Due to the high levels of local prices and the five percent export tax, Egyptian mills are not very aggressive in the export markets. In line with the current local prices, it seems that export offers that may be given from Egypt will be above $740/mt FOB.
