Domestic rebar prices have decreased again in Italy, even though local producers tried to raise their offers at the beginning of July. Currently, domestic prices are in the range of €445-460/mt ($503-520/mt) ex-works, against the previous level of €450-480/mt. Decreases are due to weak domestic demand and the recent decline of local scrap prices. Meanwhile, Italian producers' export offers have trended down from €460/mt to €450-460/mt ($509-520/mt) FOB. However, apparently international buyers are asking for even lower prices.
