According to sources, producers in the local Italian wire rod market are offering drawing quality wire rod (SAE1006) at €540-550/mt ($664-677/mt) delivered to customer, i.e., at the same prices as two weeks ago. Lately, there have been rumors of imminent price increases by local producers, by as much as €20/mt, also supported by the upward movement of import prices.
