While one week ago Italian rebar producers were offering their products at €510/mt ex-works, transaction prices which had been at €500-510/mt ex-works in the previous two weeks have decreased to the €490-500/mt ($608-620/mt) ex-works in the past week. Although prices have declined, local demand has remained very slack. However, some sources hope demand may improve with the arrival of better weather conditions.
