According to market sources, domestic rebar prices in Italy are currently at €515-535/mt ($633-658/mt) ex-works, €10-20/mt higher than the price levels recorded one week ago. As SteelOrbis reported previously, Italian producers have been increasing their offers due to the rises seen in domestic scrap prices, and also due to the normal levels of rebar demand in the domestic market, high production costs, and the significant volumes of rebar that they sold to Algeria in December.
