Demand in the local Turkish wire rod market has declined further during the past week, while buyers in the market have mostly maintained a wait-and-see stance amid the fluctuations of the Turkish lira-US dollar exchange rate. Turkish wire rod producers have reduced their prices for their domestic market due to the ongoing weakness of demand, while they are currently offering additional discounts of $5-10/mt depending on the tonnages purchased.
