Demand still slack in local Turkish merchant bar market

During the past week, prices in the local Turkish merchant bar market have mostly moved on a stable trend, though prices in the Karabuk region have increased by around $20/mt in the same period. Demand in the local market has remained slack. 
 
Meanwhile, in the local Turkish market merchant bar prices depending on size, thickness and region are at the following levels: small IPN-UPN are priced at TRY 1,330-1,380/mt ($500-519/mt), angles are at TRY 1,300-1,350/mt ($489-508/mt), while flat bars are at TRY 1,340-1,390/mt ($504-523/mt). All prices are ex-works, on actual weight basis and excluding VAT.
