Over the past seven days, Spanish rebar producers have kept their domestic prices at €480-490/mt ($562-573/mt) delivered to customer despite the weakness of demand. Market sources state that Spanish rebar mills may offer €5-10/mt discounts for deals for large tonnages. Additionally, SteelOrbis has been informed that Spanish producers’ inventory levels have increased as demand has been very weak for a while now, and so domestic rebar prices in Spain may fall slightly in the short term.
