SteelOrbis has been informed that rebar prices in the Bulgarian domestic market are at BGN 850/mt ($472/mt) delivered to customer, for April delivery. Market sources state that demand in the Bulgarian market has improved over the past two months on the back of warmer weather conditions, while Bulgarian dealers are pleased with this recovery.

On the other hand, there are only a few import offers in the Bulgarian market. Although no new transaction has been heard, ex-CIS offers at $400/mt FOB have gained acceptance from the Bulgarian buyers.  Moreover, Bulgarian buyers say that their price expectations from Turkish dealers are at $450/mt CFR, while market sources believe that, if Turkish dealers' prices soften to this level, new deals may be concluded.
