During the week ending September 9, Chinese export offer prices for rebar and wire rod have moved on a stable trend. At present, boron-added rebar offers to Southeast Asia given by Chinese suppliers are at $305-315/mt FOB, while boron-added wire rod offers given by Chinese suppliers to the same destination are at $315-325/mt FOB.

During the given week, the downtrend in Chinese domestic finished steel prices has slowed to some extent, helping steelmakers and traders stabilize their export prices for the moment. Since China's rebar and wire rod exports are attractively priced, trading activity has been at decent levels. It is thought that Chinese rebar and wire rod export prices will continue their stable movement in the coming week.
