Over the past month, Bulgarian domestic longs prices have mostly fallen by BGN 10-30/mt (€5-15/mt) amid the ongoing currency fluctuations and sluggish demand.
Regarding exports, “The traders don't have any quota concerns, as the material has already been cleared. A few local traders are negotiating for the next quota round which will begin on April 1,” a source told SteelOrbis.
In the import segment, North African rebar and wire rod prices are standing at around $590-600/mt (€565-575/mt) CFR Bulgaria, with freight of around $30-35/mt (€29-33/mt), SteelOrbis has heard.

Turkish rebar and wire rod export offers to Bulgaria for March-early April shipments are available at $580-585/mt CFR (€555-560/mt, down by $10/mt on the higher end, and $590-595/mt (€564-568/mt), also falling by $10/mt on the higher end CFR Bulgaria, with the freight rate from Turkey to Bulgaria estimated at around $15-20/mt (€14-19/mt).
