Brazilian producers are negotiating wire rod of the mesh grade for export to South American countries in a price range of $640/mt to $670/mt FOB, the same range as last week, a local market source told SteelOrbis.

In October, ArcelorMittal exported 13,800 mt of wire rod, in average at $637/mt, while Gerdau exported 12,100 mt at $668/mt, both FOB conditions with price deals probably closed in August. The main destinations were South American countries (13,800 mt), Italy (4,800 mt), the US (3,100 mt), Asia (2,900 mt) and Jamaica (1,000 mt).
