According to a local exporter, Brazilian producers are still negotiating wire rod for export at $634/mt for the mesh grade and $653/mt for the drawing grade, FOB conditions.

The source mentioned that the prices for new orders, reflecting an 8 percent increase implemented two weeks ago, have not significantly impacted the volume of sales over the last week.

In April, with price deals probably closed in February, ArcelorMittal exported wire rod in average at $568/mt, while Gerdau exported at $481/mt, both FOB conditions.
