Billet prices for rebar production in the local Italian market are currently at €540-550/mt ($833-849/mt) delivered to rolling mill in northern Italy, on two to three month open account basis, excluding VAT.
An upward movement in billet prices has been registered in the local Italian market. However, the increase rate in CIS and Turkish billet prices is much higher than that observed in Italy. For this reason, imports to Italy from the regions in question are facing greater difficulties.
