The US hot dipped galvanized and galvalume coil prices exhibited some signs of price firming after this month’s price increase announcement, but prices have leveled in the past seven days.
Current price points, however, are unlikely to last long, as it’s widely believed that US domestic flat rolled steel mills will push for another price increase in early February, at the close of that month’s scrap buying cycle, as scrap prices are expected to trend upward.
