Will US domestic HDG prices trend upward?

Spot market prices within the US domestic HDG market continue to hold steady, although sources tell SteelOrbis that winter weather storms in late February, coupled with anticipated higher scrap prices, could give the market an additional boost.

“We saw some panic buying which helped push lead times out, and customers still have to buy,” one source said. “I wouldn’t be at all surprised if prices bumped up a bit more, at least in the short term.”
