USS-POSCO issues hefty price hike on flat products

In a letter to customers Thursday, USS-POSCO announced it will raise base prices on all new orders effective immediately for the following products:

Cold Rolled Annealed: $7.50 cwt. ($150/nt or $165/mt)
Galvanized: $7.50 cwt. ($150/nt or $165/mt)
Hot Rolled P&O: $7.50 cwt. ($150/nt or $165/mt)

The company said it is now accepting Galvanized orders for August validation.  Additionally, Cold Rolled Annealed and HRP&O products are open for July and prior month’s validation.
