US import HDG and Galvalume offer prices are mostly steady since our last report a week ago. The primary change, sources note, is that import offer for .012" G30 HDG coil, that were below $70 cwt. ($1,543/mt or $1,400/nt), are "no longer on the table."

Trader souces say that sentiment in booking offshore remains mixed. Although an increasing number of customers believe that US prices will remain firm through the second half of the year, others say they’re worried that domestic prices will soften by the time offshore orders arrive, which, if booked at today’s prices could make imported steel more expensive than domestic offerings, by the time it’s delivered.
