Sources close to SteelOrbis have indicate that long domestic lead times have led some buyers to look offshore. “Some of the mills we’ve talked to have said that anything booked now is unlikely to be delivered until July or August,” a source said. “So if we can get import material that will arrive a month later, and that material is priced more favorably, it makes sense to book offshore."
