Prices for US import hot dipped galvanized (HDG) coil from India and China have stabilized since our last report a week ago, although order activity has been scant in advance of the Christmas holiday. Mumbai-based sources say that while they expected market happenings to fall silent based on year-end considerations and extended vacations (most of which will run through the New Year), they are hopeful that US buyers will “hit the market from the ground running” once everyone returns to the office.
