Shipbuilding plate demand has been moving on a quite weak trend in the Turkish domestic market, since ship orders have significantly deteriorated as compared to last year. Shipyards have been using materials from their stocks or purchasing from other shipyards.
In Ukrainian origin shipbuilding plate offers given by traders to Turkey for November shipment, Donetsk production material is at the price level of $550/mt CFR, while Ilyich production material is at $580/mt CFR. However, rumors are circulating that bookings may be concluded below these levels.
