Turkish producers raise their domestic CRC prices

During the past week, demand in the Turkish domestic cold rolled coil (CRC) market has started to slow down as buyers have mostly completed their purchases. Meanwhile, local producers’ prices have moved up by $10/mt week on week to $600-620/mt ex-works amid higher hot rolled coil (HRC) prices in Turkey and the ongoing upward trend of global flat steel prices.

In the spot market in Turkey, CRC demand has started to weaken, while spot prices have remained stable week on week. Turkish traders’ CRC prices in the local Turkish spot market are at the following levels:

The offers are on ex-warehouse basis, for August delivery, and exclude 18 percent VAT.
