Although demand in the local Turkish pre-painted galvanized (PPGI) coil market has recovered slightly after the end-of-Ramadan holiday, it is still on the weak side. With import prices of hot rolled coil (HRC) - the raw material for PPGI production - declining by $10/mt in Turkey over the last two weeks, Turkish PPGI producers’ prices have decreased by $30/mt on the upper end this week. Turkish mills' local prices for RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI are at $800-855/mt, while their offers for RAL 9002 0.5 mm are at $670-700/mt and prices for 1 mm RAL 9002 are at $550-605/mt. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis, exclude 18 percent VAT.

Meanwhile, Turkish PPGI export prices have decreased by $45/mt on average over the past week to the range of $650-700/mt FOB, due to weak demand and the downtrend of HRC prices.
