This week demand has remained sluggish for Turkey's hot rolled coil (HRC) exports, as in previous weeks. In addition, the strengthening of the US dollar against the euro has affected Turkish HRC exports negatively. While ex-Europe HRC offers have been declining amid the weakening of the euro, Turkish exporters do not want to reduce their offers and so they have preferred to avoid giving offers in the export market this week. Nevertheless, Turkish HRC offers to the export market are currently standing at $680-690/mt FOB, while exporters may reduce their offers for large volume orders.
