Chinese steelmaker Taiyuan Iron and Steel (TISCO) has announced its export stainless steel list prices for July shipments. Accordingly, the producer has kept its ferritic prices stable, with its ferritic prices unchanged since prices were issued for May deliveries, while it has revised its austenitic material prices upward by $500/mt compared to prices for June shipment. The most important reason behind prices moving up is the increase recorded in nickel prices. On the other hand, this increase is considered to be very large by market players and a discount is expected from the producer following orders. Another Chinese mill Baosteel has also announced a price revision, increasing its prices for July shipment by $800/mt as compared to prices for June shipment.
The base prices, which are for July shipments, are as follows:
Product | Price ($/mt) FOB | Monthly price changes |

304 2B 3 mm stainless HRC | 3,120 | +500 |
