Demand in the local Turkish cold rolled coil (CRC) spot market has remained at low levels during the past week, while domestic CRC prices have moved sideways in the same period. Against the backdrop of fluctuations in the US dollar-Turkish lira exchange rate, buyers are still only concluding deals in line with their needs.

Meanwhile, Turkish producers' CRC prices have remained unchanged over the past week in the range of $400-420/mt ex-works, excluding 18 percent VAT, and for March production.

Currently, traders' CRC prices in the local Turkish spot market are as follows:

 Product

Price ($/mt)

Eregli

Gebze

0.6 mm CRC

460-480

465-475

0.7-2 mm CRC

420-430

430-440

The offers are on ex-warehouse basis, for February delivery, and exclude 18 percent VAT.
