Pakistan Steel hikes HRC prices

According to the price list dated October 5, 2006, Pakistan Steel has increased its domestic sales prices for hot rolled coils by PKR 500/ton (approx. $8/ton). The new prices are at the following levels:

Thickness           Price 

Up to 2 mm       PKR 36,500/ton (approx. $602/ton)
2-2.35 mm        PKR 34,800/ton (approx. $574/ton)     
2.35-3.00 mm     PKR 34,300/ton (approx. $566/ton)
Over 3.00 mm     PKR 34,800/ton (approx. $574/ton) 
1 USD = 60.5800 PKR Prices are ex-mill basis and exclude sales tax/excise duty.
