The most commonly heard spot market price for US import 0.012”x40.875” G30 HDG and US import 0.019x41.5625 Gr80/AZ55 coil are unchanged in the past week, as many people within the US steel industry are just now returning to the office after celebrating the year-end holidays.
Updated offers are expected to come later this week; import tonnage data is not currently available, as US government agency websites have been taken offline due to the Trump government shutdown. Data is not expected to be available until Congress and the President pass a bill that would allow government agencies to return to work.
