Mexican CRC prices continue modest uptrend

In the last two weeks, the price of Mexican domestic cold rolled coil (CRC) increased US$6/mt to reach US$897/mt ex-mill.

However, sources say that the upward price trend is still showing discretion. Mexico has become one of the best in vehicle manufacturing, obtaining eighth place as a producer and the fourth as an exporter of vehicles, auto industry sources say.

Although at this time there may be caution on the part of domestic consumers by the effects of recent tax reforms, the North American country sells abroad almost double the number of cars that they consume domestically.
