Local Turkish CRC prices maintain sideways trend

Demand for domestic producers’ products in the local Turkish cold rolled coil (CRC) market has remained weak during the past week because of both Ramadan and the expectation that declines in global iron ore prices would be reflected in flat steel prices. Meanwhile, prices have remained unchanged in the given week at $600-620/mt ex-works. Market sources stated that the market has started to feel the effects of the seasonal slowdown caused by maintenance works and holidays, and they expect domestic CRC prices to soften under pressure from buyers in the short term.

Meanwhile, Turkish traders’ CRC prices in the local Turkish spot market are at the following levels:

0.6 mm CRC

660-680

670-700
