Local Turkish CRC market maintains its upward movement

Demand in the local Turkish cold rolled coil (CRC) spot market has remained slack this week. Despite the weak demand, Turkish producers’ CRC prices have increased by $65/mt on average in the past week to the range of $700-720/mt ex-works, excluding 18 percent VAT, for June production, in line with the rising prices of hot rolled coil (HRC) in Turkey. Accordingly, CRC prices of traders in the Eregli region have increased by $20/mt on average, while CRC quotations of traders in Gebze region have risen by an average of $40/mt, both week on week.
