China’s domestic stainless steel prices have followed a mostly stable trend during the past seven days.
Global nickel prices have fluctuated by small margins during the past week. On June 16, the three-month nickel price at the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed at $17,955/mt, while LME nickel inventory on the same date totaled 275, 874mt.
Overall trading activity in the local Chinese stainless steel market has been at normal levels in the past week, while prices have mostly remained stable, though there have been slight upticks in prices of some products, supported by decreases in production volumes. As for the week ahead, it is believed that stainless steel prices may continue their mostly stable trend.
