According to market sources, domestic flat steel prices in Italy have decreased further over the past week. Domestic producers' hot rolled coil (HRC) base prices have fallen by €10/mt week on week to €440-460/mt ($502-524/mt) ex-works, while hot dip galvanized (HDG) prices have decreased by €7.5/mt on average over the same period to the range of €560-590/mt ($638-673/mt) ex-works. Meanwhile, cold rolled coil (CRC) prices have remained stable week on week at €550-580/mt ($627-661/mt) ex-works. Although the declining trend of the market has slowed down, demand remains weak, with local distributors still buying only in line with their needs.
