According to market sources, demand for flat steel is still weak in the local Omani market, while holiday mood still prevails in the market. As SteelOrbis reported last week, HRC offers to the country have continued to move downwards during the past week due to inquiries for HRC prices started ahead of the Ramadan holiday. Chinese hot rolled coil (HRC) offers to Oman have declined by $20/mt week on week to $355-365/mt CFR, while Iranian HRC offers to the country have declined by $5/mt in the same period to $375/mt CFR, both for September production.
