Import HDG offers for the US on the rise

SteelOrbis has learned that Taiwanese and South Korean HDG (hot dip galvanized) coil offers for the US have risen by up to $60 /mt since last week, while Indian HDG suppliers have exited from the US market for the time being.

Taiwanese HDG offers for the US, with the specifications of 0.019" x 48" G90 (0.48 mm x 1.219 m) are now mostly offered within the range of $680 /mt to $700 /mt CFR FO US West Coast ports. South Korean offers of the same size and coating now range from $660 /mt to $680 /mt CFR FO US West Coast ports.

HDG offers from China for the US for 0.019" G90 still range from $620 /mt to $640 /mt CFR FO US Gulf ports.

The offering price range from Taiwan to the US for HDG coils with the specifications of 0.012" by 40.875" G30 (0.30 mm x 1.04 m) is now at $720 /mt to $740 /mt CFR FO US West Coast ports. South Korean offers of the same material now range from $660 /mt to $680 /mt CFR FO West Coast ports.

Chinese offers for 0.012" G30 still range from approximately $660 /mt to $680 /mt CFR FO Gulf ports.

There are currently no new HDG offers for the US from India.
