Most import HDG (hot dip galvanized) import offers for the US have risen considerably within the past couple weeks as Asian sources have raised their price expectations for the US in line with their local markets.
Chinese HDG offers for the US, with the specifications of 0.019" x 48" G90 (0.48 mm x 1.219 m) now range from approximately $750 /mt to $770 /mt CFR FO US Gulf Coast ports. South Korean offers of the same size and coating currently range from $770 /mt to $790 /mt CFR FO US West Coast ports.
HDG offers with the specifications of 0.012" by 40.875" G30 (0.30 mm x 1.04 m) from India range from $730 /mt to $750 /mt CFR FO US Gulf Coast ports. South Korean offers of the same material now range from $800 /mt to $820 /mt CFR FO West Coast ports.
