In the import segment in Turkey, some traders have reported CRC offers from South Korea at $520/mt CFR for August shipments, while some stated that the official prices are yet to be announced. Some trading activity was seen with the sellers from the CIS. According to sources, a Russian mill sold medium-sized lots at $490/mt CFR. In the meantime, CRC offers from Ukraine have been at $485-495/mt CFR for July production, with deals closed mainly at the lower end of the range. Some sources however, believe the workable level for CRC from Ukraine should be $5-10/mt lower than that.

In the domestic market in Turkey, offers for CRC have settled at $550-565/mt ex-works base for now. The product is mainly offered for end of July-August deliveries. Re-rollers say sales of commercial grades are quite slow, while some improvement may be seen next week. “Significantly above $530/mt ex-works is hardly possible to get now,” a producer told SteelOrbis.
