In the Indian flat steel market, in line with steel producers' downward price correction in April, flat steel prices have started to trend down also in the domestic spot markets. While producers' hot rolled coil (HRC) offers to the domestic market are now standing at INR 35,500/mt ($801/mt) ex-works, in the spot market HRC offers for mostly Chinese origin material are at INR 34,500/mt ($778/mt) ex-warehouse.
