Ex-Turkey PPGI prices to remain stable unless demand recovers strongly

Pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) demand in the Turkish domestic market has remained weak, while prices have remained unchanged as compared to last week.

In the meantime, demand has become weaker in the export markets, but this situation is considered to be normal coming closer to the end of the year, while efforts are being made to keep inventories at low levels. In addition, PPGI export offers are standing at the same levels as domestic prices, while export offers are not expected to register any changes unless a strong recovery is seen in demand.

This week in the Turkish domestic market, RAL 9002 0.5 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI prices still stand at $900-910/mt ex-works, exclusive of 18 percent VAT.
