SteelOrbis has learned that a Russian steelmaker's July production hot rolled coil (
HRC) and cold rolled coil (CRC) export offers have softened by $20/mt as compared to last month, as a result of weak demand. In the meantime, the producer's
HRC offers to the Turkish domestic market are standing at $615/mt CFR
Turkey, but Turkish buyers are shying away from concluding deals at this price level. However, the Russian mill, which is not placing much hope in the European markets, is expected to be willing to negotiate with Turkish buyers and so its offer level will likely soften further.
The producer's July production hot rolled coil (
HRC) offers to the export markets now stand at the price level of $570/mt FOB St. Petersburg.
In the meantime, the producer's July production cold rolled coil (CRC) export offers from its four-stand mill are standing at $660/mt FOB St. Petersburg, while its CRC export offers from its five-stand mill are now at $695/mt FOB St. Petersburg, with these prices indicating decreases of $10-20/mt as compared to last month.
