SteelOrbis has been informed today, November 27, 2006, that Q235 grade hot rolled strip of size 5.5-12.0 mm x 685 mm / 720 mm / 735 mm is being offered ex-China at $410-415/mt FOB Tianjin for 2,000-5,000 mt orders for December shipment. The current price is approximately $5-10/mt lower than that of the beginning of November. Despite the risk of a further reduction in the export rebate, exporters are experiencing difficulties in transferring the potential risk to the customers due to tough competition.
