Domestic CRC prices in Turkey

During the past week, demand in the domestic cold rolled coil (CRC) market in Turkey has continued to remain weak, while domestic producers’ CRC prices have remained unchanged in the same period at $580-600/mt ex-works. The rises seen in global flat steel and domestic hot rolled coil (HRC) prices in Turkey are expected to be reflected in domestic CRC prices in the short term, leading prices to move up accordingly.

Despite the weak CRC demand in the spot market in Turkey, local traders’ prices have increased over the past week in parallel with the rises seen in HRC quotations. Turkish traders’ CRC prices in the local Turkish spot market are at the following levels:

The offers are on ex-warehouse basis, for July delivery, and exclude 18 percent VAT.
